The 1st annual Celtics Game to benefit the Marsh Family Foundation was a huge success raising over 14k!  That success didn’t come without a few hiccups, but we were not about to let a few missing tickets and a toll worker strike keep us from getting to the game and having a great time!

The buses arrived at the TD Banknorth Garden about a half hour after tip off.  We took a short elevator ride to the promenade section and then settled in to watch the game.  The seats in this section are incredible.  Your looking down, directly over the court.  Like Gods in heaven watching the earthly events unfold below – best seats in the house as far as I am concerned.

In the 2nd period, Gail and the kids walked onto the court to be honored by the Celtics through the Heroes Among Us program sponsored by the Mass State Lottery.  The smiles spread across their faces said it all.  More than one person said how wonderful it was to be there and sharing in their happiness.   You can view the posting on the Celtics website. http://www.nba.com/celtics/community/heroes_april09.html

The rest of the nite was full laughter, picture taking and anxiety for those watching the silent auction table.  Icing on the cake – Celtics beat Miami 105-98.

The Foundation would like to thank everyone for their amazing support and we look forward to seeing you next year.  The 2nd annual Celtics Benefit is already in the works!

I just wanted to tell you that you did an awesome job last night.  I hope the results were great. It looked like everyone was having a great time, I know  both Rick and I enjoyed it.– I thought the kids were so well behaved(for a bus full of boys) and we had a lot of fun with them.  It’s a lot of work but you pulled it off and you have 3 beautiful children who will remember that night forever.  Thanks for including us.
