A poem for the Marsh Family

Dear Marsh Family,

My name is Amy Michelle Otoka- Snay. I live in the capital of Vermont now for the past 15 years. Most of my family has moved up here and we all have tones of space to grow like the green grass. Speaking of which!!  During the early spring Michelle had wrote back to me a personal letter and we got all caught up with our lives, family, friends and animals. Mostly talked about the loves of the family we both had. Joy and happiness. She always sounded that way since I knew her from growing up.

I wrote a poem for my friend Michelle and being one of the class advisors for the class of 86. I have been making phone calls to try and get a huge class donation going which might be spoken at the next class get together or by notification. I was so glad I found your site. I will do my best to keep the family memory of that nice couple and help those children in any way I can help.

At any rate, to Michelle’s mom, you were a great mom as I remember well. I remember the sleep overs and having so much fun with her. The nice b-day parties you would give her. We laughed so hard the last time we spoke and it was on the internet mind you. Due to the distance we tried to get together and ride horses. By us getting together, I happened to find out the news.

I always kept a look out for Michelle when things with the girls outside of Hudson got to be catty in high school. I wont go on and on about the good ol’e 80s. She had a tone of talent and good looks.

This poem was written on a night I could not sleep. Thinking I will never get together with her again. She will be missed by all her crazy loving friends she made along her way. Happy smile and her nature loving ways. Her animals and darling kids and family will keep her memory alive. I will miss her dearly. Remembering meeting her at the bus stop when I was 5. Both standing in the hard rain of fall. Tried really hard to stay dry because, our mothers had dressed us so nice for the first day. Then, we got wet and laughed super hard when a car had sprayed us. Too funny! If I had a picture oh gosh.

May the wind always be on your back.

May the sunshine on your face and the rain fall sweet on your feilds.

May the path rise up to meet you.

Until we meet again, may the angels hold you till you fly.

I knew you had wings,

I saw them while you were here.

I will miss you and think of you while I ride my horse.

Amy Michelle Otoka (Snay)
